In 2020, the Peoria County Election Commission installed a secure, camera-monitored Drop Box outside of its office, located at 4422 Brandywine Dr, Ste 1, in Peoria.
The Drop Box provides voters with a safe and secure alternative to sending completed Vote by Mail ballots through the mail.
The Election Commission's main Drop Box is available 24 hours per day during Election Season for Peoria County residents only. Smaller, portable Drop Boxes will also be available at all Early Voting satellite sites throughout the community during Election Season. These portable Drop Boxes will be secured and monitored by Election Judges at each location. The portable Drop Boxes will be safely transported back to the Election Commission each day when Early Voting Hours have ended at the Early Voting site(s).
The Election Commission Drop Box will be available for the 2022 General Primary Election starting Thursday, May 19 through 7:00 p.m. on Election Day (Tuesday, June 28).
